What is a x-ray attack?

An X-ray attacks or defends through an intervening piece. The rear piece exerts force along the line even before the blocker moves, which produces surprising captures and defenses.

How to spot it

Follow your long-range pieces through enemy blockers to what stands behind. If the blocker is forced to move or capture, the X-rayed square is already yours.

What this set trains

X-ray sets stretch your line vision beyond the first obstacle — a skill that also prevents nasty surprises against you.
