What is a exposed king?
An exposed king has lost its pawn shelter or stands in the open. The winning method brings fresh attackers with tempo until the defenses run out of pieces or squares.
How to spot it
Count pawn cover and defender proximity around the enemy king. Two open lines plus one extra attacker usually means a decisive attack is available.
